This year, on the 8th of June, the German Association for Synthetic Biology (GASB e.V) is very proud to host the third SynBio World Cafe in Darmstadt. This annual event series brings together key players from academia and indurty to discuss about the current state and the future of Synthetic Biology in Germany. Right now, Synthetic Biology is a thriving research field and as such is getting a lot of attention. As it grows, it helps us to tackle new arising challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and many other problems of our time. Especially on an international level Synthetic Biology is a term radiating moment and potential but are we doing enough in Germany to keep up?

This year the SynBio World Cafe focuses on infrastructure and networks needed to make Germany future-proof when it comes to Synthetic Biology and Genetic Engineering in general. For that the event brings together stakeholders from academia and industry to discuss ideas and foster new relationships.
